Social Empowerment
A legacy of social responsibility is of paramount importance towards building and uplifting the cause of the developing masses. In its attempt to empower the rural development, Bodhtree has launched an empowerment and employment programme in a sleepy Pochampally village, in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
This programme is named ‘Happy Village” in partnership with Andhra Pradesh Technology Services (APTS). The objective of this noble cause is to provide employment opportunities for the youth in their villages, the Happy Village project will involve setting up of a facility with required I.T Infrastructure besides providing coaching and training for the youth to work and learn to handle Data Management
In the month of August 2007, the programme was inaugurated by R.Damodar Reddy, Minister for IT and communications, Youth Services and Sports, Government of Andhra Pradesh, India. The first phase, the Happy Village Centre employed the services of 15 rural youth trained by Bodhtree, which now has 50 members.
